H.R. Owen Plc launch RSS feed Service on website

In the increasingly competitive prestige car market, H.R. Owen continues to extol its ‘tradition of excellence’, with its state of the art and highly regarded website at www.hrowen.co.uk

The highly focussed SEO and PPC campaigns ensure that the site regularly tops 35,000 visits/month, with first page listings for hugely popular key phrases such as ‘ferrari uk’.

H.R. Owen’s recognition of the power of the internet has seen more and more traditional marketing budget diverted to digital media, with the addition of a bespoke mobile platform, enabling customers to access the site from their PDAs.

The site regularly circulates exclusive manufacturer press releases ahead of the competition, as well as finance quotations on a huge selection of pre-owned supercars.

The latest example of their innovative thinking is the launch of a brand new RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed to their website. The company wants its car enthusiast customers to receive the very latest news on incoming stock so that they can keep abreast of their orders and the latest market movements.

By selecting their manufacturer(s) of interest on the RSS sign-up page, as soon as a new offer, news piece or Used Car is added into H.R. Owen stock, customers are updated via their RSS reader, and will be able to click through to the relevant car, offer or news piece.

RSS feeds can be received via the customer's Outlook email software, most web browsers, or they can choose to install a free desktop RSS Reader such as Feedreader.

The website development for the RSS feed was carried out by their trusted provider Progress Automotive Solutions who have more than 10 years experience of supplying websites, bespoke online development and award-winning software to the car industry.
