Version Upgrade for Progress DMS WorkshopPro

The Progress WorkshopPro system has received a version upgrade, bringing it into line with other Progress DMS products, with the addition of new features designed to notify you when you have new mail and offering shortcuts to key areas of the system.

The main change is to the way that WorkshopPro now looks – there’s now a notification area at the bottom of the screen which:

  • Informs you when you have new unread emails
  • Displays the user name of the user logged in
  • Contains quick links to both your Inbox and Sent Items
  • Notifies of unread mails in both folders (indicated in brackets)
  • Indicates and links to the user’s open tasks.

There are also now 3 easy ways to search for WIPs:

  • By Registration number
  • By WIP number
  • Or by Task number

My Menu

In the top right corner of the screen, there is now an option entitled ‘My Menu’. This drops down to show shortcuts to frequently used areas of the system.

Technical Director Carl Lightfoot explains, “This version upgrade is the start of many changes to come to the WorkshopPro system that will update both design and functionality of the system, and bring it into line with other products in the Progress DMS portfolio such as Harmony and Constructor. This step is another leap forward in our development of our Aftersales-focused DMS, with particular attention to CRM and customer contact.”
