H.R. Owen launch next generation website

Two years ago, H.R. Owen Plc and Progress DMS launched a fresh new website, that better reflected their prestigious vehicle sales and service operations, and was extremely well received by critics. Times have moved on, and so have H.R. Owen, and the latest evolution of the H.R. Owen website has now launched at www.hrowen.co.uk

We haven’t re-invented the wheel, but have tweaked the designs you may be familiar with, whilst adding in functionality that will further improve the user experience.

Quick access to New and Used Cars from marque homepages

Once you’ve clicked on a marque logo, you’ll land on the new-look landing pages. We’ve re-designed these pages to give quick access to the range of new models offered by each manufacturer, as well as links to each model held in Used stock, and an indication of how many they have of each model in brackets.

Change Manufacturer from any page

Rather than returning to the homepage each time you wish to switch marque, you can simply now hover over ‘Select Marque’ at the top of the page to bring up a list of manufacturers. Then simply click on your desired marque to enter that section of the site.

We've improved the layout of the latest news and offers sections, and added in thumbnails and quick links on the righthand side for easy access to all the marque latest news and offer details.

Used Car Enhancements...

Approved Used Car searches from the Homepage

You no longer need to enter a franchise section to search the approved Used stock – with one click you can select any manufacturer and model in stock from the homepage.

Recently Viewed Cars

Can’t remember what car you were looking at 5 minutes ago? Well now, as you browse through our Used Car locator, any cars that you look at will be automatically added to the left hand side of the page, enabling you to click on the car to return to one you were looking at previously. This feature will work even when you switch manufacturers.

Favourite Used Cars

When browsing the Used Car stock, you may want to individually select cars of particular interest to you for later referral. Simply click on the ‘Add Car to favourites’ link from any used car to add it in to the new Favourites section. A thumbnail image of the car will then get added in to the left hand side of the page – simply click to go back to that car, or to remove from your favourites. Over 60 Prestige Pre-Owned Vehicles available to search at any time...

Interactive maps of dealerships

Rather than sending you off to another website to see a map of the Sales/Service locations, we’ve integrated maps from Google into each one of the Marque sections. Simply click on ‘Dealer Locations’ to be taken to an interactive map of the Sales location. Clicking on ‘Service, Parts and Body shop’ will take you to the After sales location. Once on the map, you can zoom in/out, pan around the map, and change from map to satellite view, or a hybrid view.

Mobile Website launched

Complimenting the new website, we’ve also launched a new Mobile service. Now, when you access www.hrowen.co.uk from your mobile device, you will automatically see the mobile website. A slimmed down, fast-loading version of the full site, from here you will be able to view dealer locations, as well as searching used car stock at each location. You can look at images for cars, and enlarge them for a better view. Click on a phone number to call a dealer, or on an email address to send an enquiry direct from your mobile phone.
