Website is Paradise for Eden

Just six months after launching its website, motor retail group Eden Vauxhall is celebrating its success after it has become one of internet partners Progress DMS’ best performing motor retail website with an impressive 8,500 plus visitors in September via natural or organic searches.

The website www.edenvauxhall.co.uk is about to boost its success even further with the launch of its Pay Per Click (PPC) Google campaign designed to ensure the site’s already prominent appearances in the search engine listings continue to rise. Without the support of a PPC campaign www.edenvauxhall.co.uk has become a much-visited site by would-be Vauxhall drivers thanks to an extensive Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaign which has ensured high rankings on the natural or organic listings – the non-sponsored links.

The website went live in April and the following month almost 4,000 visitors had visited the site with that figure growing steadily every month reaching 8,530 in September.  What’s particularly encouraging is the amount of time browsers are spending on the website and the low bounce rate – visitors who click onto the site and immediately click out. In September, web visitors were spending an average of 3 minutes and 57 seconds on the Eden site with people spending more than 30 seconds on the site representing 71 per cent of the total number of visitors and a bounce rate of just 26 per cent.

Such impressive figures represents the high and continually refreshed content which keeps people both on the site and coming back. The low bounce rate is also indicative of the sophisticated SEO campaign which Progress DMS continues to develop on behalf of Eden Vauxhall – it means that the website content is matching the way internet users are searching. Quite simply, browsers are finding what they are looking for resulting in impressive traffic levels to the website and ultimately high quality enquiries and sales.

The telephone analysis for the individual Vauxhall businesses located at Reading, Newbury, Fareham, Honiton and Exeter reflect the website’s role as the group’s most important marketing tool.  The website has resulted in more than 5,500 telephone enquiries since its launch with September recording more than 1200 calls. Not surprisingly, Reading – Eden’s biggest dealership and home to the group’s head office – takes the highest number of enquiries although the rest are evenly spread among the other four retailers.
